If you've been to Irvine Park Railroad, you already know how fun and beautiful that place is. If you haven't, follow us below on all the fun activities we did inside the park.
The Irvine Park Railroad hours for Pumpkin Patch starts at 10AM. We got there exactly at 10AM and the weather was perfect, there were tons of parking still, and not a lot of people yet. We started taking pictures of the kids with those built up picture stands first. Too cute not to.
Then as we walk around, we saw the John Deere Tractor Races. We were trying to teach her how to put her foot on the gas and how to stop it when all of the sudden she just zoomed away. I swear she could have killed my toenails as I was really close to the tractor. She was that excited and ready to go. She enjoyed it for a good 5 minutes with a few bumps on the hay and a final crashed into the other tractors(yikes, hope she didn't damage anything, haha).
There were 3 beautiful peacocks on the loose on our way to the bike rental area. Irvine Park Railroad is very big and very green. With water features, it's just beautifully landscaped and maintained.
We rented a sulley bike and went around the park. There were some uphill battle where we really used all our leg powers and burned those sugar from eating a giant cookie, hopefully. And we also made sure not to go downhill straight to the lake where they do the paddleboat at. Though partly challenging, especially since my short legs almost couldn't reach the pedals, haha, it was a lot of fun. It's a must try when you're there. They have tons of bikes to fit everyone.
After biking, we went back to the Pumpkin Patch area to ride the famous Irvine Park Railroad train that loops around the park. But we got derailed to my daughter's favorite ride of all, the pony ride. The pony ride is $5 and it loops 3 times.
Then we went on the train ride, bought snacks, and before heading out, we got ourselves some giant pumpkins to carve at home. Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is gonna run 'til the end of October and I highly recommend it for everyone. It is worth the drive even if you live far. We look forward to going back before it ends.
