Celebrating at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour plus Giveaway

Do you remember the many birthdays you celebrated as a kid? I do! We would celebrate as a family over our round wooden table filled with food and a cake made by my mom. I actually don't remember the gifts at all. (Hey dad, did you wrap me a gift? Mom made the cake you know. Haha.) But seriously, it's those intimate yet fun moments that you remember.

I would like our kids to remember those intimate birthday celebration once they are all grown up. It can be something as simple as sharing a meal at home, me making a cake for them, or a nice lunch or dinner out at their favorite restaurant.

To start that tradition, we took the kids to Farrell's Buena Park to celebrate the hubby's and our daughter's birthday. I chose Farrell's because I no longer need to cook(yey!) and we really love ice cream and the place is really festive. Fun for both the kids and us parents.

It was our first time eating at Farrell's. We didn't know what to order. The Farrells ice cream parlor menu was huge and everything sounded so good. We ordered a Hill of Garlic Parmesan Fries to start. There's a Hill and a Mountain, one pound and 2 pounds respectively. It was yummy.

Then the hubby ordered their Old McFarrell's Burger. I on the other hand couldn't decide between Philly Cheese Steak and the GrownUp Grilled Cheese. I ended up ordering the Grilled Cheese and it did not disappoint. We also ordered Macaroni and Cheese for the Kids, and they happily ate it all without knowing there's gonna be ice cream in the end.

Oh, but let's not forget the drinks. Me being the Coke lover that I am, ordered the chocolate Coke. And it was really good. I still think about it every now and then, especially when it's really hot. The hubby got his Vanilla Rootbeer and it felt like we were kids again in an ice cream parlour. Our eldest tried to finish her food really fast, because she wanted to see the huge selection of candies right when you walk in.

But the finale, which Farrells ice cream do we order? They suggested the huge Pig's Through! It's a sundae times two. And we are gonna get a ribbon if we finish the whole thing. We didn't at this time. But next time.. there's next time. Actually, Farrell's Ice Cream has been around since 1963 and they are continuously growing so I know we'll be celebrating there a lot over the years.

If you wanna celebrate a birthday, a graduation or just finding an escape to this heat. Visit Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour, check their locations here. Farrell's Ice Cream serves yummy American food and makes it a fun dining experience for everyone. And who wouldn't want the comforts of eating ice cream, which they have a lot of. Everyone enjoys that at any age. Just beware that there is always a line. So pick your day or time to make the best out of your visit. We picked Friday lunch and got there before it opened, so we got seated immediately. You'd also get the nice staff to sing to you on your birthday complete with a sundae and a candle.

Let's continue the celebration with a giveaway below. One lucky winner to win a $25 Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Gift Certificate.
