Little Passports Review & 12 Month Subscription Giveaway + Melissa and Doug Toys

Hello Folks! Little Passports is hosting a giveaway to continue their 5th Birthday celebration this week. The lucky winner can win Little Passports' 12 Month Subscription & Melissa and Doug Birthday Bundle. You can join the giveaway today til 4/25/14.

Little Passports is a subscription service where you will receive a monthly package for your kid/s to learn about geography, history, culture, and language. There are two options, USA edition and World edition, you'll learn about two states per month on the USA edition. And one country per month on the world edition.

We received a Little Passports Box to review and would like to share our thoughts on this fun package. And hopefully you can win a 12 Month Subscription for your kids to enjoy and learn from.

Our Review of the Little Passports 1st Month's Explorer's Kit:

My daughter and the Mini Suitcase that came in the Little Passports package has been inseparable ever since we got them. We received the first month's box to review. It's the Explorer's Kit for the World Edition Box. The package contains a suitcase with a letter from Sam and Sofia(the travel guides), a huge map of the world, passport, stickers, activity sheet, postcard and a boarding pass.

The kit inspires a lot of ideas. The mini suitcase is where you're suppose to put all the following months kit. But I was thinking we can also fill it with momentos from our actual travels. Maybe some shell from the beach, a postcard from another country, important pictures from our travel. My sister-in-law whom I was showing the package to even suggested postage stamps.

The suitcase is of quality sturdy material and I think it can stand the test of time. My daughter can keep it til she grows up but as I'm writing this, she has already put it under her bed.. Yep.. It's that important. I've never seen her keep anything under her bed maybe except those Easter eggs with candy inside. Haha.

The world map is also nice. You use it in conjunction with the activity sheet. My daughter keeps opening and closing the map early this morning while roaming around the living room. She thinks she's Dora the Explorer with her map. Haha. I on the otherhand wanted to frame it and put it in the kids room. I'm still trying to think of a clever way for us to mark where we've traveled too without putting pen marks on it.

We work on the activity sheet earlier and we learned how to say hello in different languages. And it also gave us a hint of which country we're going to learn about next(next month's kit). And that will be Brazil. And speaking of Brazil, we are going to put this bead necklace we got from Rio Hotel in Las Vegas from this weekend's vacation. It was given to her by the hotel's concierge and my daughter wore it throughout our trip. It's also the first time our other kid went to the pool, so we will put her picture on her own Little Passports mini suitcase once I've signed up for a subscription(unless I win the 12 Month subscription myself, wishful thinking). Look at those tiny hands over the suitcase in the picture below, no one is letting go. Lol!

The package also came with a boarding pass that contains a code to use so you can play games online. We will look into it this weekend.
