Our Visit to Sea Life Aquarium in Carlsbad

We checked out Sea Life Aquarium for the first time before it close for the day after a fun day at Legoland. I actually like this aquarium coz' it's not too big nor overwhelming. We got to touch starfish and get up close sharks and rays and there's a beautiful spot in the aquarium that seems to shimmer from the fishes continuously swimming by.

Legoland California Theme Park, Legoland Hotel & Sea Life Aquarium shares the same parking lot. And you can enter the Aquarium from either the parking grounds or inside Legoland.

Sea Life Aquarium is a 2 storey aquarium with over 5,000 creatures including sharks, rays, seahorses, clownfish, starfish, etc. There's a touch pool. And we got to touch a starfish and it felt like a rock.

This is my favorite spot in the aquarium(pictured below). You'd have to check it out. It's as though the fishes are shimmering from their continuous swim around the aquarium.

There are also Lego inside the aqauriums. Check out the ray swimming by below.

The best park is that Sea Life Aquarium is not crowded. And kids really get a chance to get up close the aquarium as the rays and sharks swim in front of them. Like literally in front of them like the picture here. Brave lil' kids. Haha.

Pass through the 35 foot long tunnel and explore the City of Atlantis as sharks & rays swim above you. Yikes!

There's also feeding demonstrations all day but we didn't plan ahead and were not able to catch it.

And if you get hungry, check out Ocean Journey Cafe. They have burgers, mac & cheese, salads and more.

And before we head out, we perused all the fun Sea Life Aquarium merchandise. From animal towels to stuffed toys and books.

They will be opening an area for Jellyfish in Spring of this year. If you'd like to get more information on Sea Life Aquarium's operating hours  or want to make it your kids birthday party venue, check out their website, click here.
