Show Review: Yo Gabba Gabba Live at Nokia Theatre

My toddler is a big fan of Yo Gabba Gabba. She's seen all the episode that's on Netflix. And my hubby and I can sing the songs when we hear them. Which we did when we watch the Yo Gabba Gabba Live Concert at the Nokia Theatre in LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles.

The show was at 2PM, you would think a lot of kids her age are on nap time. When we got there, it's kids left and right. Some in Yo Gabba Gabba outfit(including the parents). Some buying Yo Gabba Gabba merchandise. The chaos was both exciting and confusing.

It was our first time watching a show at Nokia Theatre, so we were not familiar with the seating arrangement. And the ushers got us lost too. That was a lot of walking when you carry a toddler with you.

We were happy to find out our seats have very huge leg room though compared to the other seats. And the show started on time with big screens on the both sides.

DJ Lance came out and the screaming began. It was like I was at a Beyonce concert except more than half of the audience are kids.

My daughter was all quiet. Probably in disbelief that the Yo Gabba Gabba characters are real.

The singing and dancing started after DJ Lance introduce the Yo Gabba Gabba characters. Muno, Plex, Brobee, Foofa, and Toodee. And my daughter warmed up and started getting the sillies out.

There was not a lot of actual props to the show, except for one part when they were doing a hide and seek. The rest were just background on a big screen.

The show was for an hour. The Yo Gabba Gabba characters got their rest in between with some guests.

The did pretty much all the famous songs from the show like Party in my Tummy and more.

Ticketmaster doesn't give you a chance to pick where you seat. Just pick an area and it picks your seat for you. So we were at the very far end with a lot of other people while a lot of rows in front of us was empty. Go figure.

But since Nokia Theatre is not really big like Staples Center. And the mascots were big, everything was pretty clear from our seats.

Biz Markie is one of the guest of the show. Lots of screaming when he came out. And some kids, probably those who paid VIP tickets got to go up the stage and imitate him.

It was a really good show. They are still touring in other cities and I would recommend watching it if your child watches the show on TV and knows the songs. We got our $4 cotton candy and headed home for a good nap.

To check if they are showing in your part of town, check their website for more infos.
